Betty-Ann Lynerd is a full-time professor of music at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL, USA. She was trained at Westminster College (PA), Montclair University (NJ) and received her doctorate at Trinity Biblical Seminary (IN).

At Moody, she conducts the Women’s Concert Choir and the Oratorio Chorus; her classroom teaching includes courses on the philosophy of church music, training the child’s voice, and historical choral literature. Past faculty positions have included The King’s College, Nyack College and George Mason University.

As a conductor, she has led choruses with the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Dallas Symphony, and
at the United States Air Force and Naval Academies. She has been active in the American Choral Directors Association, serving as its president for Washington, D.C./Maryland. She has taught at Saints Bible Institute in Venice, Italy, and has trained choirs at the International Christian Schools of Hong Kong and Seoul, ROK.
For 30 years she served as a church music director, and continues as an invited speaker and conductor at seminars, festivals and conferences.

Her musical passion is to bring to her students the love of the art and the development of their own God-given abilities.
